Halfway!!!!!

Hey Paleo Party People!

Today is Day 30 of the 60 Day Challenge!! Way to go! How IS it going? I know Sheila, Christina and I have been whining and complaining about not losing ANY weight (some of us actually GAINED weight, that wasn't muscle)! WTF? I know it wasn't the beer. Had to be something else!! I do have to say that I am still seeing improvements in my performance (runs, tri's and WOD's). I am continually chipping away at my overall times and don't feel as crappy. Yesterday, I cut over a minute off of Helen, as prescribed! :D

Remember to weigh yourself and do your WOD's again (if you want to check your progress)- Fran, Max Deadlift, and the MetCon one. Record your numbers in the notebook and let us know how it goes.

Stick with it. Your body will eventually thank you.

  1. Half way! I am so happy I still have 30 days left. The first 30 was like the first date, not sure what you can get away with. I definately had my challenges and adjustments. By no means am I ready to hook up with FRAN yet, let alone the MetCon that has Barf all over it. I plan to button down the hatches here at the half way point and be more serious and committed. Kinda need to treat it like a recovery program, one day at a time or even one meal at a time. Planning is a major help.

    I have notice alot; Eating clean feels so much better, the next day after a cheat meal, because the pain from a cheat day is awful, does not feel so good. Much better sleep. I do feel stronger, yet during a WoD it is not the weight that I struggle with it is the Cardio. Have I lost weight? no idea will not step on the scale until day 60 at the end of the challenge, but do feel like i have. biggest improvement is strengh just need the cardio to catch up. I wonder if it is maybe a lack of fats. I tend to stay away from those to make sure i lose the lbs. So far I enjoy the foods, again planning is the key. Had the Burgundy Walnut Beef Roast from The Paleo Diet book with a salad. Is Vinegar in or out? Might need to find a different salad dressing.

    Anyways I feel good. just glad I dont have to see FRAN for another 30 days.

  2. Ken, I noticed you do look good! I'm using vinegar in my salad dressing. I think it is fine. I agree with you that most of us are feeling better and sleeping better. Those cravings are not as intense.

    I did step on the scale and whined and complained for a day, so I e-mailed our "Master teacher" Robb Woff. Here was his response to me. Not too many nuts, run only 2 days a week, make sure to get in heavy days, stay off the scale. Try to PR a benchmark like "Helen."

    Anyway, let's keep at it. Ken, I'll see Fran tomorrow, glad I don't have the run/row for 30 days!!! Did make small gain in the deadlift WOD (4 lb), and 7 sec on the run/row.
