Where do we begin?

There's a lot of great info out there regarding the Paleo diet and how to incorporate it into our daily lives. The most challenging and often difficult thing is how to simplify so it meets our needs, IMO. Please share your thoughts on how you're incorporating this new way of eaitng into your daily life.

  1. I gave away ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL of my breads and grains and even threw away a half full container of ice cream. This is serious!!

  2. I just want to encourage everyone to try something. Weather you Zone, Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian, IF. I'm sure there is something in your diet that you can give up for 30 days, like sugar/artificial sweeteners, grains, bars ( Zone bars hits me!!!). There have been reports of AMAZING results doing this at affiliate CrossFits. Not just in the CrossFit results but also in regards to diabetics, clear thinking, needing less sleep, clear skin, resolved digestive problems, less boating, along with weight loss and improved fitness ( 2 PR's in 1 week, during the 3rd week from one man). You have everything to gain!!!!!

    Sorry so long everyone, I'm a bit excited about this!!:)

  3. Wow, I'm scared. There is definately somethings I can give up for 30 days. I think I'm in. I'm more nervous, and having trepidations about this than showing up to the Box with anxiety about what the white board reads. Sooo....see you Monday....

  4. Don't forget we get a "cheat day" or maybe 2 cheat meals over your week-end. Whatever you need!!!! Believe me, you look forward to that and it tastes soooo much better when you've saving up for it. But then, my work-out the next morning usually reminds me of why we should eat clean, not to mention that insulin hangover I get! ( my cheat is usually ribs with brownies) yum.

    P.S. so proud of you :)

    P.S.S. don't fret the WOD's , they are going to consist of day 1. 5 heavy reps day 2. this is the only scary one, all I'll say is metcon. Day 3. one of the Girls. It's famous

  5. I just walked by a bowl of candy four times without taking a single one. If I can do it, you can do!!! It's hard to start but once you start feeling good and feel the effects of eating crap, you won't want the crap anymore!

  6. All right, I just had my cheat night. Chocolate almonds, brownies, and ice cream. Wow, I'm hitting that crash!! This is why I cheat at night... go to bed.... start new! Ready to get back on the wagon tomorrow.

  8. Let's see...Friday: chips + salsa + enchiladas + Paleo Margarita(tequila, fresh lime juice, club soda) + 3 beers + rootbeer float = DEAD on Saturday. Saturday: 1 giant glass of wine = awesome 6 mile run! Sunday: Gelato....I'll have to wait and see what happens.... Next time I will not go so big on my cheat day. Yuck. I will stick with wine!
